Weekly Musings: A Pot of CCF Tea, With Roses.


Hi Reader,

I’ve been making a new bulk batch of CCF tea this week—but this time, I added something extra. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I mixed in beautiful, edible rose petals alongside the classic coriander, cumin, and fennel.

Fancy, but not too fancy.
The kind of thing that feels special without trying too hard.

Perfect to give to someone you love—whether that’s you, a family member, your best girly, or your main squeeze.

I’ve also been reworking the packaging for this tea—adding new stickers and a two-sided Wellness Card that now comes with each bag. It feels good to slow down and tend to the things we already know support us.

Why CCF Tea Is So Loved in Ayurveda

In Ayurveda, CCF tea is one of those foundational remedies that shows up again and again for a reason. Coriander, cumin, and fennel work together to gently support digestion without overstimulating it.

This tea is traditionally used to:

  • Gently kindle digestive fire (agni)
  • Reduce gas and bloating
  • Support regular elimination
  • Calm the nervous system through the gut

With the addition of rose petals, the blend becomes more cooling and calming, traditionally used to support gentle detoxification and emotional balance. Rose has long been associated with the heart—there’s a reason we offer roses during moments of love, care, and transition.

Food and Ritual as Medicine (Without Perfectionism)

Supportive practices don’t need to be complicated to be effective.

CCF tea is easy to make. One teaspoon of the blend (the baking-measurement kind, not the spoon in your drawer 😉) makes a pot of tea. One bag makes over 50 cups.

It’s not about doing it perfectly or even drinking it every day (though you can). It’s about having something simple you can return to when digestion feels off, when routines slip, or when your body asks for a reset that isn’t extreme.

Sometimes medicine looks like consistency.
Sometimes it looks like remembering what already works.
